Q. Inspired by the inane twitter trend of #100factsaboutme, give us five BOOK RELATED silly facts about you.

1. If left completely alone, I'd read a full length novel in 3-4 hours in one sitting.
2. I read in my car during my lunch break.
3. For a while after reading a series, I think in the speech patterns of the characters. (Right now, I keep thinking "Win!" thanks to Strider in the LotU.)
4. When one of my good friends arrives at work every day, we spend at least our first 10 minutes dishing on what we read the night before.
5. I get really bummed out when finishing a series and have to start something new right away. I call it "breaking up" with the last set of books.
6. *BONUS ANSWER* I absolutely hate it when the cover models don't match the character descriptions in a book. It drives me nuts.

Q. If you could physically put yourself into a book or series…which one would it be and why?

That's really hard. I'm going with the assumption that I can do whatever I want or be whoever I want in this instance. So I'd say either The Dark Hunter books, so I could completely pulverize Artemis OR The Lords of the Underworld so I could be Torin's HEA. (Don't tell my husband.)

  1. Here are my book-related facts.

    1. OMG, I think in the speech patterns of characters too! I thought like a Scotsman for weeks after Outlander.
    2. I read Braille, so if I read more than about four hours, my fingers start to tingle, and I have to take a break.
    3. I got so mad/disgusted at the ending of Edgar Sawtelle that I refused to start another book for a week.
    4. I "shop" on Goodreads the way most women shop in fashion boutiques.
    5. Stephen King scared me bad enough with one of his books, that I had to sleep with my door open one night. LOL. (I was twelve though.)

  3. I can completely relate to number 5. I'm always really sad about having to finish a series. I feel like whatever I find next won't be nearly as good but they usually are :P

  12. Hey there! New follower!

Ugh! I wish I could read a book in 3-4 hours! It usually takes me about 6-8. I'm not a super fast reader! lol

It is a bummer to finish a series! But I always pick up the next one hoping it's just as great...and sometimes I'm right! :-D

  22. Hi! Thanks for coming by and following. I'm here to do the same. I love the BDB (hence, the reason why I'd be more than happy to jump into that series). I also love your genre choices in books: smut and paranormal smut. I can relate to that since I guess some might call my writing that. lol

    Have a great weekend!

  26. Apologies in advance for my answer this week as it will not immediately resonate with the book blogger population which happens to be 99.5% female.

My choice is a book series geared towards guys which won’t enthrall the vast majority of my fellow book bloggers (who are almost entirely female) with the extensive discussion of powerful weapons and sexy milspec gear, beautiful women, eye-popping action sequences (with occasionally obscene violence), and the like.

But there IS something in my answer that just about everyone of the female persuasion can benefit from my decidedly “books for guys” post. Hop on over to http://www.howardsherman.net to find out what it is.

    Happy Hop Friday!

  27. I know how you feel when reading the last book of a series, especially one that is 5-6 books you become so attached to the characters that you hate to see the story end.

I read in my car too during my lunch hour :)

  29. hi! thank you muchly for visiting my blog and for the follow!

we seem to be a lot alike. i always keep a book in my locker at work to sneak a little reading in, and one of my huge pet peeves is when i have a specific description of a character in my head, the one the book gives...then the cover doesn't match! it's like...gah!

also, you mentioned the lords of the underworld series, so you got my attention right away. :)

  30. OOOooo The DARK HUNTER SERIES!!!! Great choice!

Like you, there are just way too many good series out there for me to be able to choose just one, but the Dark Hunter series or the BDB would be awesome! So many beautiful men running around ;-)

Thanks so much for stopping by! New follower now! Happy Hop!!!

  31. Hi! Just swinging through on the Follow Friday. Hey, I got a real kick out of reading your "5 Silly Book Facts"! I loved the comment about how you speak like your characters. After I read the BDB books, I use a LOT of "brother" slang. I had to chuckle.

What a lovely blog you have! Anyway, I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

So it feel like a sad breakup when I finish a series for me too, and it's hard to move on to another one. And I hate it when the cover models don't match the character descriptions in the book, too! Ugh!

  41. Your book-related facts are really interesting! I've never "thought" like a book character, but it happens all the time in real life when I'm around a certain person a lot.
And I break up with books, too! I'm always so reluctant to start something new when I've just finished an amazing story. I'm like that with TV shows as well.

Also, all your BDB reviews are making me want to tackle the series. I may do just that thanks to you :)

  42. Thanks Lamia! It a fantastic series that I would recommend to any PNR fan. If you start it, let me know what you think!
